Throwback Thursday: Infinity and Beyond Scarf

Throwback Thursday:

If you’re new around here, you may not know how I celebrate Throwback Thursday! Every Thursday, I highlight a specific project I made a while ago. It might be as recent as a couple months, or as old as a few years. It is simply a project you’ve never seen from me, or at least haven’t seen in a long time. I started doing it because I wanted to have a good reason to share my older projects with you, since I just started my YouTube channel this past May. I hope you keep reading about this week’s project, and check out the YouTube video! I also have a playlist for all my Throwback Thursday Episodes on my channel, so be sure to check that out if you haven’t already ;)

This week’s project:

This week’s project is the Infinity and Beyond Cowl by Bella of Bella’s Custom Crochets! I had the opportunity to test crochet this cowl for Bella awhile back, and oh man, I ADORE this pattern. This cowl is honestly one of my most favorite things I have made. It is so simple, but because of the yarn I used, the size, the gauge, the stitch pattern...it is just SO cozy. I can’t wait to wear it this fall and winter!

The yarn:

I used Michael’s Loops and Threads Barcelona for this cowl. I really, really love this yarn. For this cowl, I only used one skein! In reality, it is literally like three yards shy of the perfect amount, but I just fudge it a bit to make it work. Usually I would NEVER do that for a project, but because of the way this stitch pattern looks, you really can’t tell. That being said, if I make this cowl as a gift, or sell items made using this pattern, I just decrease the body rows by one to ensure that I have enough ;)

Would I make this project again?

Yes! And I have! And I plan on making more! I really can’t recommend the pattern enough. If I remember correctly, I have made three so far. One for me as the test, one to sell, and one as a gift. Everyone loves this cowl! It really is the perfect winter accessory. I also plan on making at least one as a Christmas gift this season, so stay tuned for that if you’d like to see it!
