Throwback Thursday: Everyday Crochet Cardigan

Throwback Thursday:

If you’re new around here, you may not know how I celebrate Throwback Thursday! Every Thursday, I highlight a specific project I made a while ago. It might be as recent as a couple months, or as old as a few years. It is simply a project you’ve never seen from me, or at least haven’t seen in a long time. I started doing it because I wanted to have a good reason to share my older projects with you, since I just started my YouTube channel this past May. I hope you keep reading about this week’s project, and check out the YouTube video! I also have a playlist for all my Throwback Thursday Episodes on my channel, so be sure to check that out if you haven’t already ;)

This week’s project:

This week’s project is one of my absolute favorite patterns...ever. It is the Everyday Crochet Cardigan by Sewrella. Now, let me tell you, this is a beginner friendly pattern! It was my first crochet garment ever, and was a huge success. I have made a few modifications to make it suit my body and style, but they aren’t necessary! However, I talk about them in great detail in the YouTube video if you haven’t watched it already.

This cardigan is perfect for...wait for it...every single day. Yup. It is appropriately named for sure. It is so quick, uses worsted weight yarn and my favorite stitch, the half double crochet. It is basic and mindless, but so so enjoyable. I have made many of these cardigans, and truly want to make more!

The yarn:

I have used multiple yarns to make this cardigan, but the sample cardigan that I used in the video and photos used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in the colorway Graybeard. It is such a wonderful gray, and is exactly what I was going for when I chose the yarn for this project!

Would I make this project again?

Considering I have already made a few, I think that already gives you an answer! Haha! However, I would totally make this cardigan once again.
