Today I wanted to talk for a minute about a blog post I read this week that really opened my eyes. Firstly, I recommend you read it here: https://shereadstruth.com/community-testimonies-katie/
Now, everything Katie talks about in this post (many years ago) may not apply to you, but a *lot* of it applies to my current season. Not only that, but bits and pieces of it can apply to any season of life. That is what I wanted to talk about today.
Perhaps the biggest note that she made that stuck with me is this: “every season has its own value and purpose, and it’s freeing to be able to trust Him enough to embrace the story He’s written just for you.”
This is exactly what I have been trying to put into words the past few months. The season I am currently in is one that I couldn’t have dreamed up. College, while amazing, isn’t what I expected it to be, my jobs aren’t typical, and I don’t have as big of a “social life” as I might choose. There are plenty of amazing things that I could have never dreamed of happening, and there are also things I have dreamed of for a while that I thought would have already happened.
However, reading this post has given me further confirmation that this season is SO important. God has written a story for each of us. Now, he has also given us free will, and the option to take a step away from that story, but I believe that no matter what situation we find ourselves in, we can learn and grow through it. God can use ANY situation, season, or experience to make us aware of his presence.
I encourage you (and myself) to confidently bask in the fact that he has a story just for you. I encourage you to remember that no matter how many challenging seasons you might face, there is always an opportunity to learn and grow. I encourage you to always look for little blessings from Him, and to not look past them. Nothing is coincidental :)
Until next time,
Amy Kate <3
