Devotion:
In the devotional segment I talked about the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. This is something I have learned more about in college, since I had to watch a couple videos about it.
To put it simply, a growth mindset is a mindset in which you believe you can improve, learn new things, and be a better person. You make mistakes, but learn from them.
If you have a fixed mindset, you believe that everything you can know is determined at birth. It is difficult for you to learn anything new, because you don’t believe you can.
Before I go further, let me say this. We want to have growth mindsets. We should have the desire to improve on the daily, whether you’re a Christian or not. Being a Christian gives us a reason to want to improve. We should strive to be more like Jesus!
Now, turning this over to a Christian aspect, we have to remember this: In order to be true followers of Jesus, we have to understand and believe a few things. We have to know that we aren’t perfect. We have to know that we are born into sin, but that it isn’t the end.
I encourage you to put forth effort into having and maintaining a growth mindset. Learn new things. Learn hard things. Learn from your mistakes, but also your moments of achievement! Be the best YOU you can be!
Conclusion:
I hope you enjoyed this week’s podcast! I am always so delighted to film and share each episode with you guys. Thanks so much for sharing this journey with me!
I hope and pray that you continue to have an amazing week. Stay tuned for all the exciting things coming later this week!
Until next time,
Amy Kate
