I am just beginning this new design, but the actual pattern is just about complete! It will release early November, so stay tuned!
We have reached the last chapter of Colossians, Chapter 4. Like I have said in this past, this is such a short but impactful book of the Bible. I encourage you to read it :)
Chapter 4 is filled with beautiful words of wisdom, but there are two verses that directly stand out to me! I wanted to share them with you. Verse 2 says, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” This verse is so powerful, and one that I have been trying to put into practice for months now. Being thankful is life-changing. Being quick to give thanks and practice gratitude instead of seeing the wrong first calls for a gear shift in human nature...but is 100% worth it. I am still working on it!
Then, verse 6 is also beautiful, and should be a guide for us all. It says, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” I think something really amazing about this verse is the phrase, “seasoned with salt.” Nowadays, we probably don’t think about salt much, but back then it was incredibly valuable. Lots wife disobeyed and looked back to the land they were leaving...and was turned into a pillar of salt.
I hope you have enjoyed this little study of Colossians! I would love to hear your thoughts, and let me know if you would like to do this with other books of the Bible! I am so very grateful for YOU.
Until next time,
Amy Kate <3
