Devotion:

Let’s talk about Colassians 3 for a bit!

This is one of my favorite chapters of the entire Bible, and I am certain that I will come back and review specific verses with you all in a later episode. I encourage you to read through the whole chapter yourself, and ponder what it says. There is so much goodness packed in a few short verses. Honestly, the chapter has the power to be life changing.

Today though, I wanted to talk about one specific verse. A verse that applies to me in this season of life, but also applies to ANY season of life that I/you may be in in the future. It is a well known verse that I have mentioned before: Colossians 3:17.

It says, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giing thanks to God the Father through him. This verse is very similar to Ecclesiastes 9:10, and 1 Corinthians 10:31. It is also repeated almost verbatim in verse 23 of the same chapter. I think it is pretty important!

This is another one of those verses that is simple and straightforward, but holds such power. Whatever you do, do it in the name of Jesus. A truly important and beautiful reminder for us all.
