I am obsessed with this yarn and stitch pattern! I am hoping to make a second pair to show how it looks in a more solid color as well. Pattern coming soon :)
I have been so inspired and moved by a recently release song this week, and couldn’t help but share it with you all. Danny Gokey release a new album called “Jesus People” recently, and the song “Stay Strong” struck just the right chord in my heart (pun intended!).
I’ve been pondering lots of decisions lately. I graduate from college next summer, and while that is just under a year away, it will be here before I know it. As of right now, I am not confident in what my next step is after graduating. On top of that, the Fall Semester started this week, my best friend moved away last week, and there are certain promises/prayers that God simply has not revealed the answers to yet.
My favorite part of the song is one that is repeated the most. He sings:
“But if I never see the promise
On this side of the grave
My hope might be shaken
But my faith will never break
Because I know the day is coming
When You'll right all of the wrong
So I'll praise You in the waiting
And my faith will stay strong”
You see, so often we become fixated on a certain thing that *isn’t* happening. This is switching gears a bit, but I am studying Macroeconomics this semester. The foundation of economics is the fact that all humans battle scarcity; which is defined as the desire to have more than resources/technology can provide. All of this to say, instead of fixing our eyes on what we don’t have, I encourage you to focus on what you DO. Focus on what God is doing in your life in this specific season, whatever it is for you. Stay strong, and be confident in the waiting...because great things are always in store.
I highly encourage you to listen to the song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NSthUsLtgg
Until next time,
