I’m so happy to be able to provide these show notes for y’all again this week. Of course, if you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to contact me!
Blue Ridge Shawl
Oh yes. It is done! Wow y’all, I love this shawl so so much. Even more than I thought I would! I will for SURE be making another one, but I have other exciting things to make first! Find the yarn I used here, and the pattern here.
Works in Progress:
Drop V Tee
Notes: Body is done! Next up is the neckline, then the sleeves. Hoping to have it finished by next week’s episode!
Notes: Done with the first sock! Isn’t it cute?!
Knitted Wall Hanging
This pattern is now available! Be sure to check it out if you haven’t already :)
New Sock Design
I have been planning these socks for quite awhile, and they have officially been started! I have a really special photoshoot idea and pattern name planned, so these actually won’t release until the end of August :)
These socks were for my little brother’s birthday on Sunday! SO excited to give them to him! I am also making a shortie pair, and stay tuned for a tester call soon.
Today I wanted to talk about a really important topic, and honestly one that is pretty close to my heart.
Ever since I was about 12, I have struggled with so many forms of comparison. Some seasons have been extremely difficult, but some have led to finding and learning to maintain confidence in who God wants me to be. Comparison is honestly an interesting subject to me. I mean, I remember not thinking about it. I remember being a “carefree little girl without a care in the world.” For me, it all goes back to balance.
As I have mentioned before, I am in a season of learning to balance multiple things at the same time. Comparison, for me, is one of those things. I never want to get stuck in an unhealthy season of comparison (again), or wish that on anyone else. However, there is beauty in recognizing another individual’s current season. Being observant and struggling with comparison are NOT the same thing, but turning that comparison into an observant heart has been healthy for me.
Whether you struggle with comparison or not, I pray you have eyes to see other’s struggles and victories. I pray that you always remember that YOU are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that you’re made after God’s own image. How amazing is that? I pray that we all turn those thoughts of lust into thoughts of gratitude for what God has specifically given us. :)
Until next time,
Amy Kate <3
