Today I wanted to briefly chat about something that I know I have talked about before. Honestly, I could talk for so long about so many topics, so I know there will be repeats! This section of the podcast is for me to be open and honest, and share what Jesus’ has been doing in my own heart. My goal is to share His love with you all by showing you just how amazing He is in my life.
Anyways...today I wanted to talk about the importance of prayer, and seeking His guidance. I am right in the middle of a *crazy* season. My business and community are growing (thank YOU), I am in the middle of my third semester of college, and work is taking up a lot of time. My brain is constantly going in so many different directions, and I am not going to lie, it is difficult to not lose track of what is most important....always following His plans instead of my own.
I am a planner by nature. I like to have a plan, set goals, and be productive. I thrive when I am working toward something, no matter how small or big that something is. This is a good characteristic, but like most...it can easily be abused.
I could easily fall into the trap of making and following my own plans and schedules, instead of leaning in on Him and His plan. Now, I am not saying never make plans, or forget the to-do lists. I am saying don’t be so obsessed with those things that you lose track of what He might be trying to do in your life.
Like I said, this season of my life is crazy. Crazy beautiful, crazy hard, crazy amazing, crazy challenging, crazy growth...crazy. Overall, it is a good crazy! But every single day has its ups and downs. At the end of next summer, I will graduate with an Accounting Technology degree from my local Community College. In the midst of all the things going on in my life right now, I am more focused than ever on learning what it means to truly rely on Him. To lean on Him. To pray, and ask for guidance and wisdom. Each day is different. Each day I have a different idea of what life after graduation could look like. The options are overwhelming, but I am confident that He has a plan, and that He will show me that plan in due time.
Guess what? He will the same for YOU. God is kinda the best multi-taker ever :). Whatever season you’re in, easy or hard, beautiful or ugly and challenging, there is a purpose. I encourage you to BE in that season. To grow and learn anyway you can. I also encourage you to look ahead to what He might have for you next. Seek Him above all else!
“But seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plants to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
And my personal favorite verse:
Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her! Luke 1:45
Until next time,
