This week, and really the past few weeks, I have been thinking a lot about seasons. When you really think about it, our lives could be compiled as a series of seasons. Each season is a different triumph, battle, change, or experience we are living in.
This time last year, I was in the thick of my senior year of high school. Let me tell you...it was rough. There were more unknowns than I can count, plus the Caronavirus. Graduating in 2020 was no small feat. Now, a year has passed, and I am in a completely different season. College.
College y’all. I grew up hearing only good things...friends, parties, classes, choosing a major, independence, you get the idea. Let me tell you, this is NOT my experience. As it turns out, it is kinda hard to get to know people when you see them twice a week for an hour, wear masks, and leave as soon as class ends. I am attending a community college, so most people still live at home, and that is part of it.
While this season of life isn’t what I imagined it to look like, I am SO grateful. I firmly believe that God gives us the ability to learn something new in ALL seasons of life. Sometimes that lesson will be good, and sometimes it will be a hard lesson we didn’t know we needed.
I encourage you to learn from whatever season you’re in right now. Regardless of your situation, God is with you. He is always on your side. Trust him...because He has a plan for you!
Until next time,
Amy Kate <3
