I’m so happy to be able to provide these show notes for y’all again this week. Of course, if you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to contact me!
Breezy Eyelet Shawl
Pattern: My own! Find it for free here.
I am hoping to grow this collection this summer! Stay tuned ;)
Mountain Mama DK Socks
Pattern: Mountain Mama DK socks by Emma Janet of Bloom Create
These socks are one of my most favorite things I have ever made. Period. I love them SO much.
Works in Progress:
Pattern: Morning Coffee Socks by Kay of The Crazy Sock Lady
I finished the first one, and I will be finishing (and starting, haha) the second one this week!
Sand and Ocean:
Yarn: Knit Picks City Tweed DK
Pattern: Sand and Ocean Cardigan by Julie of Twin Stitches Designs
Notes: This was going to be a stripes sweater (by Andrea Mowry), but I just couldn’t like the neckline. I realized how big it was during the last podcast...and new it just wasn’t going to work. So, instead of chugging through and being worried that I wouldn’t like it, I am making the second thing I had thought of in the first place! And that is this cardigan. It is going to be epic ;)
Dress Me Bunnies
Pattern: Dress Me Bunny by Sharon Ojala
Yarn: Crafter’s Secret in White
These are a commission that have to be done ASAP, so it is my focus! I have both bodies completely done, and will be making the clothes this week!
Yarn: Cascade 220 in the colorway Icelandic Blue
Notes: Absolutely loving this new design!! This project is growing slowly since it isn’t my main focus right now, but it is going great!
I am SO excited to be releasing something super fun very soon, so stay tuned! Until then, you will just have to wait :) But not long!
This design is in testing now, and I am working on my second pair!
This week I wanted to chat about Comparison. Y’all, I have struggled with comparison for so long in so many aspects of my life, but today I just wanted to be a source of encouragement.
I found myself deep in this pit earlier this week. In the midst of balancing school, numerous babysitting gigs, and countless hours of business and design prep...it is a LOT. It is a busy season. Sometimes, I would love to grow more. Reach new people, and learn to inspire more.
However...it is important to remember that we are ALL here for a purpose. That purpose is to glorify God. Yes, we are 100% called to other things in life too, but that one thing is the biggest. It was what should guide us in all we do.
So, whether you’re like me, and trying to learn how to live in young adulthood, or if you are in a completely different season of life...press on. Press on to what God has called you to do. Press on in this beautiful (because every season is beautiful) season God has placed you in. Know that he has a wonderful plan for you, a plan that is uniquely YOURS.
I am so so grateful for each and every one of you!
Until next time,
Amy Kate <3
