It’s Pattern Release Day!
If you’re new here, you may or may not know one of my biggest 2020 goals. For the year of 2020, I decided to challenge myself to release one pattern every single week. Let me tell you...this is a lofty goal. But so far I have stuck to it, and I am so proud of myself! Throughout this journey, I have completely fallen in love with designing knit and crochet patterns. It is absolutely amazing to be able to dream up a pattern, make it, write it, and then PUBLISH it as your own. The feeling is one I will always remember. And thankfully, one that I continue to live!
This week’s pattern is the Pink Lemonade Can Cozy. This can cozy is so fun and quick to make, yet so practical. It’s my favorite combination!
For this pattern, I recommend a cotton or cotton blend yarn. Cotton is durable, and machine washable, making it perfect for heavily used household items such as coasters, dishcloths, washcloths, and cozies! In the above pictures, I used Yarn Bee Lil’ Dollap, a 50/50 acrylic and cotton blend yarn from Hobby Lobby. Another yarn that would work very well for this project is WeCrohcet’s Shine Worsted yarn! You will need just under 50 yards of yarn for this project, assuming you meet gauge.
Speaking of gauge, be sure to check it! It is listed in the pdf pattern, and is so important to achieve in this project. It is the only way to fully ensure that your can cozy will fit properly!
