If you’re new here, you may or may not know one of my biggest 2020 goals. For the year of 2020, I decided to challenge myself to release one pattern every single week. Let me tell you...this is a lofty goal. But so far I have stuck to it, and I am so proud of myself! Throughout this journey, I have completely fallen in love with designing knit and crochet patterns. It is absolutely amazing to be able to dream up a pattern, make it, write it, and then PUBLISH it as your own. The feeling is one I will always remember. And thankfully, one that I continue to live!
This week’s pattern is the Eclipse Kimono. It is a big one! This is my first ever knit garment pattern, and I am so beyond happy with how it turned out. The pattern writing process was a LOT of work, but that work has paid off and I am so grateful!
For this pattern, I recommend any DK weight yarn. However, I used KnitPicks Cotlin Reflections and it. is. amazing. I love this yarn! It is DK weight cotton and linen blend, making it the perfect garment to wear in the summer, and transition seasons like we are in now.
I am writing this on Friday, August 21, 2020. Two days after the pattern release. This pattern was #1 on Ravelry’s Hot Right Now with 12 hours of its release! Over 3000 downloads when it was free, and people have continued to download it while it is just $1.00. Thank you so much for your support!
