Brava Yarn Review
Welcome to Another Yarn Review:
If you’re new around here, let me introduce you to another yarn review! I love to share and review different yarns with y’all, and let you know my honest thoughts. As always, I have an accompanying Youtube video to go along with this post that goes into deep detail as well! Be sure to check that out by clicking on the picture below, or the link at the bottom of the page ;)
The Yarn:
KnitPicks/WeCrochet offers so many yarns, but I have used their Brava line more than any other. This 100% Premium Acrylic Yarn is available in a wide range of colors, and it is so easy to pick one depending on the season. It is extremely affordable, which makes even large projects easily doable budget-wise. (Hence why I have used it so many times!)
What I like to make with it:
I always think it is helpful to give advice on what to make with a certain yarn. Sometimes it can be hard to choose a project, whether it is simply because of indecisive-ness, or just not knowing what that yarn would work best for.
For this yarn, you can make ANYTHING. I have made blankets, sweaters, cowls, hats/beanies, and so much more with this yarn, and it has worked GREAT for all of it! I would recommend choosing a pattern, then make sure it is a good suit for an acrylic yarn. If it is (which in my opinion, if YOU think it is, then it is), go for it!
Other notes:
- My favorite thing about this yarn is the quality. The price point is so low, but the quality is high! This happens SO often with KnitPicks, and I love it so much.
- Secondly, it is available in not one, not two, but three different weights! Sport, Worsted, and Bulky. This is amazing.
- One thing that I have found that I don’t love is that sometimes, a skein doesn’t have the full 218 yards. Don’t get me wrong, most do, but sometimes there is just something slightly different about the spin or whatnot, and it has less. Keep in mind that no company is perfect, and for how rare this actually happens, it is so worth it. I recently had this occur in a blanket project, but luckily, it turned out just find. Also, KnitPicks has AMAZING customer service. If you’re a ball short because of an issue like this, I guarantee they will take care of you ;)

Should you buy it?
If you enjoy using acrylic yarn, and if you like getting a big bang-for-your-buck, then YES. Go for it!
