It’s pattern release day!
If you’re new here, you may or may not know one of my biggest 2020 goals. For the year of 2020, I decided to challenge myself to release one pattern every single week. Let me tell you...this is a lofty goal. But so far I have stuck to it, and I am so proud of myself! Throughout this journey, I have completely fallen in love with designing knit and crochet patterns. It is absolutely amazing to be able to dream up a pattern, make it, write it, and then PUBLISH it as your own. The feeling is one I will always remember. And thankfully, one that I continue to live!
I am so so excited about this pattern! I am so in love with how it turned out, and I hope you love it as well ;)
This messy bun beanie features beginner-friendly cables, with ribbing. It is made from the bottom up, and finished off with a couple decrease rounds to flatter the shape of the head. It is my first ever cable pattern, and I am delighted to say that it is simple but so enjoyable to make. I hope you like it!
And might I add...this is a great Christmas gift idea!
For this design, I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in Rosy Cheeks. This blush color has my heart. That being said, any worsted weight yarn will do! I simply suggest making a quick gauge swatch, because you want to be certain that the hat will fit its intended head!
